Grab a joystick and have some quick pick up action. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun game without a steep learning curve.. This is a fairly simplistic twin stick shooter with ok graphics but nothing too flashy.I played this 2 player (local co-op) with my Little Brother and cleared the first 10 levels + first boss. Gamplay is rather basic left stick move right stick shoot being the only controlls.The game itself is a decent amount of fun but with somtimes confusing\/ frustrating mobs (the trees that you cant kill only stun, the hands from the floor frequently hidden by the effects) but they were minor hassles7\/10 competent and cheap enough to be worth it.. Bleh... this game is good for 20 minutes or so.. Bought for about $1.24 in the 2017 halloween sale, even that price was too much to ask for such a boring, empty-handed game. It's better than other similarly priced garbage but that's not saying much. I managed to get almost 2 hours out of this but how in god's name I did that I don't know. If you play level 1 you've basically played the entire game. They might as well had just repeated level 1 over and over again and called it a day. There was no reason to make anything more because it's all the same. The combat has no substance to it. Your bullets might as well just pass through enemies as if they were ghosts because that's how it feels anyway. The end of round\/level jingle also sounds very familiar. I think it might have been directly ripped off from another game. They sure are proud of the way it sounds too because you hear it constantly since each level has 3 rounds and you hear it at the end of each round. The music and sounds get old in about five minutes too. You also die easily because in all the confusion that your screen filling array of bullets causes you can't tell wtf is hitting you. Dying and having to retry all 2-3 stages in a level is just pure torture in such a bad game.The only good thing about this game are the controls and graphics which isn't enough to save it from a woefully low score of 4\/10.. Get it on sale. Dont pay more than a few dollars there is like...zero to this game and it gets repetative super fast.The color scheme and lighting are about 90% of what i like in total about this game, its visually pleasant to me.The music is a super obnoxious kinda halloween-y track on repeat...very repetative just a small riff on repeat and its not good. It wasnt the song in the video, which is a tolerable riff...leads me to believe there is more than the one super annoying one i heard.The gameplay involves running around, getting the weapon that makes aiming obsolete, then dodging projectiles while getting stuck on obstructions on the ground trying to collect things without accidentially swapping a weapon that doesnt require aiming for one that does...eventually they ware off and you get a single stream shot that sucks. Lots of weapon drops (the same 5 or so appear often but dont last long, like 3 of them are worth getting)Its simple and easy to play.Downside, all the characters are cosmetic. There are a very VERY limited amount of weapon power ups, just get the one you need to aim the least with and your good.Tactics didnt change from this.Odd crystals to collect, i think they are XP but im not sure what leveling up even does.A few power ups to give it some variety...but little considering the gun upgrades are pretty boring and the variety gets old after about....0.2 hours played at the time of this review.Gonna keep it for the colorful maps. Get it on sale its nothing special, and extremely simple and lacking in variety...but still decent fun for a twin stick shooter.Actually in hindsight, giving it a thumbs down. Nothing personal, still keeping it, but its one of those games you need to get at like $1.00 and its worth it...your not going to be spending any significant amount of time playing this...looks cool though doesnt it?.
